EnvironMental (EM) is a research-geared non-governmental organization established by a group of scientists, researchers and activists devoted to work towards “Safer Environments for Healthier Lives”.

Our mission is to raise awareness on health and the environment through research, education and advocacy to foster healthy communities with environmentally-friendly behaviors and businesses.

A world where people are deeply connected to nature, live in clean environments, consume safe products and lead healthy lives.

Air pollution monitoring
We are conducting regular collection of air pollution data. New findings will be released soon.
Team
Tarek Abou Omar
Tarek is an environmental health specialist. He holds a master degree in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut and is currently a PhD candidate in Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Manchester.
Sinan Abi Farraj
Sinan is a materials engineering graduate of the University of McGill. With an academic background in process engineering and expertise in advanced materials, his engineering work has been focused on economically viable, environmental and sustainable projects.
Hisham Hassan
Hisham is an environmental consultant, specializing in environmental assessment studies. After graduating from the Lebanese University with a Mechanical Engineering Degree, he obtained a master's in Environmental technology from the American University of Beirut.
Sarah Zahr
Sarah is a public health nutritionist and a U.S. Registered Dietitian. She holds a master’s degree in public health nutrition from the American University of Beirut. She has experience in working at non-governmental organizations on nutrition-related programs and campaigns.
Majd Abou Omar
Majd is a music producer with 6+ years of experience in the industry. He holds a Masters degree in Sound & Music Technology from the University of Hertfordshire. In addition to his passion for music, he has also developed a keen interest in protecting the environment. He recently decided to combine these two interests by joining EnvironMental.Contact
